Breast Reduction
Breast reduction surgery, also known as reduction mammoplasty, is a procedure that aims to alleviate the pain and discomfort associated with large breasts by removing excess breast tissue, fat, and skin. This procedure can help reveal breasts that are more proportionate to your body size and improve your overall quality of life!
If you know you would enjoy life more with smaller, lighter breasts, a breast reduction can give you the freedom to exercise comfortably, wear the clothing you like, and participate in activities without worrying about how your breasts look or feel.
Who can benefit from a Breast Reduction?

What is the recovery like?
You will be happy to learn that most of our patients are back to daily activities within the first week after surgery, including a return to work if they have a desk job.
Initial Downtime: Plan for 1-2 weeks of downtime. You may need to take time off work and avoid strenuous activities.
Pain Management: Pain and discomfort can be managed with prescribed medications. But for most patients over the counter pain meds are sufficient.
Supportive Bra: Wear a supportive bra to minimize swelling and support the breasts.
Follow-up Appointments: Attend all follow-up appointments with Stubbs Center to monitor healing and address any concerns.
Full Recovery: Complete recovery can take several weeks. Scars will fade over time but may take up to a year to fully mature.
Post-Surgery Care Tips:
Rest: Get plenty of rest and avoid any heavy lifting or strenuous activities.
Hydration and Nutrition: Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy diet to promote healing.
Wound Care: Follow your Dr. Stubbs instructions for wound care to prevent infection.
Gradual Return to Activity: Gradually return to normal activities as recommended by your surgeon.
