Injectable Treatments

BOTOX®

BOTOX® is utilized to treat a number of medical and cosmetic issues. Most noted for the treatment of facial wrinkles to make us look younger and less tired, it can also be used for excessive sweating under the arms, migraine headaches, muscle spasms and more. It has been proven to be one of the safest medications we use. It also has one of the highest patient satisfaction scores of any medication we use. We have found that, when injected properly, it is nearly pain free and can erase years of wrinkles at a very reasonable cost.

Jeuveau®

Jeuveau® is used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults. When expertly injected for frown lines or “11’s”, Jeuveau® temporarily prevents your nerves from telling your muscles to flex or contract. This process smooths the appearance of “dynamic” frown lines.

Juvederm®

JUVÉDERM® is one of the top chosen fillers used in the US. It is able to address specific areas of the face including the lips, cheeks, chin, smile lines, undereyes, jawline, and temples. These injectables are perfect for achieving smooth, natural-looking, and long-lasting results.

Who is a good candidate for Injectables?

The key point is that you are in good overall health and have not had any interactions with the injectables you are getting. It’s also important that you have realistic expectations for your results. Ideally, you shouldn’t be a smoker or a drinker or on any medications that thin the blood or cause bruising.

Are Injectables safe?

Many of the fears about these injections are unfounded. It is very safe, and this has been proven by millions of injections in all areas around the world. There is no longer any reason to look in the mirror and see wrinkles that bother us when they can often be erased with injections that take well under an hour to complete! If you have any specific concerns about injectables, sit down with Dr. Stubbs and our team to discuss them so we can put them to rest!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • This varies based on numerous factors, including which type of injectables you are interested in, how large of an area you are treating and what your exact goals are. The final cost will include the exact number of units of the injectable used, the fees of the doctor or technician, and may include other costs as well. To get an accurate estimate for your injectables treatments, schedule a consultation with Dr. Stubbs.

  • If you are just starting to see signs of aging or want to ward them off for as long as possible, injectables can be a sufficient facelift replacement. However, the further you are into the aging process, the less they can do. You’ll still see a difference no matter what, but don’t anticipate getting facelift-level results from injectables.

  • In most cases, you need to be a legal adult to get injectables, though there are exceptions, especially when there is a medical need. As far as an upper age limit, there isn’t one. We might feel that there are other treatments that will deliver more impressive results or suggest some to combine with injectables, but don’t expect to age out of being able to use BOTOX and fillers.

  • Start by looking for a cosmetic surgeon near you that offers injectables. In many cities, there are a plethora of providers but they tend to be small spas that are staffed strictly by technicians. Stick with surgeon’s offices since they have the most training and expertise. Then, look at online reviews and eliminate those who don’t have the best ratings. From there, look at their websites and schedule consultations with 2 to 3 providers who feel like they could be a good fit for you.

  • If you have an active viral, bacterial, or fungal infection, put off getting injectables until you are better. If you have ever had reactions to injectables in the past, you should not get these treatments. It is also recommended that if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you wait until you have given birth or weaned your baby before getting these treatments.
